Ami Yamazaki - Japan

Stacks Image 19835
At the age of six, Ami Yamazaki began playing the piano. Throughout the years, Ami continued her honing her craft, but it was not until she was 25 that she began to seriously study solo piano repertoire. It was her love of music, especially music of the Romantic Period, which led her to consider a profession she was passionate about; Ami decided to be a career pianist. Instead of attending a music school, Ami had studied privately and taken masterclasses continuously from renowned teachers from all over the world. She has lived in Japan, Paris and London, moving from city to city in hopes of further enhancing her skills. She currently resides in Canada, where her studies include work with Dr. Greg Caisley, as well as Andre Laplante. She has participated in masterclasses from notable teachers, such as Imai Akira, Pierre Reach, Bruno Rigutto, Victor Rosenbaum, as well as studying privately with Prof. Christopher Elton.
