“This is playing that does everything one could want and so much more – it is the musical equivalent of Viagra, restoring passion, lust and hunger for an old lover – something the classical music industry is desperately in need of.”
James Rhodes, The Telegraph

HJ Lim is a pianist of extraordinary imagination and vision; an artist who has won praise for “refreshing and rediscovering the pinnacles of the piano repertoire’, but above all as an artist who balances all of these talents with an undeniable flair and virtuosity. With special guest appearance by the Venerable Seongdam Sunim, who will perform the unique ancient Korean singing technique of Jitsori, the DIPF is excited to present this rare combination of master pianist with spiritual guru, in what promises to be both musically and spiritually, an uplifting and enlightening experience!

From Liszt to Ives, and Reger to Rachmaninoff, a rounded and varied programme of compositions will be performed; to complete an educational programme for these advanced piano students, and a truly exhilarating concert series.

A ceremony will take place after the performances, to celebrate the conclusion of the 3rd Dublin International Piano Festival, and to congratulate the students and everyone involved for continuing to strengthen the DIPF as one of Ireland’s leading Piano festivals.
